My wife got her BSRN degree at ETSU back in 1982...


We'd been dating for a 1½ years and had just became engaged...planning on getting married when she graduated.

We were going to go to the World's Fair in Knoxville and I was going to pick her up after her class one Friday afternoon. I got there early and was sitting on a bench that was beside the Health Building and the Student Center.

Say what you want about ETSU but the scenery there in '82 was outstanding. 😊

While sitting on the bench I accosted by 3 scantily clad coeds wanting me to come with them for a teeth cleaning (ETSU has a Dental Hygienist School). I explained I was just waiting for my fiancee and not a student at ETSU but they said that was alright so I said what the hell and went along.

I was met by a dental instructor, signed some forms and got my teeth cleaned by the young ladies that recruited me. 😊 The dental instructor checked their work and gave me a look see. I was out in a ½ hour.

I got back to the bench and my future wife was there. I told her what happened and she laughed. I was a victim of the Dental Hygienist trap. I didn't mind.
